Most medical insurance companies will cover the cost of your podiatry consultations. However, to our knowledge, none of the UK insurance providers cover the cost of orthotic devices themselves.
If you have cover, we advise that you contact your provider and follow their recommended procedure. Most will require a GP referral but some may need a Consultant referral.
We require patients to settle their account at the time of consultation, so if claiming on your medical insurance, you will need to send your receipted invoice to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Should you be a Bupa member, we will need a pre-authorisation code prior to your consultation in order to invoice Bupa directly.
Foot Mechanix are approved providers for the following Insurance companies:
- CS Healthcare
- Exeter Family Friendly
- Simply Health
- Pru Health/Vitality
NB: AXA PPP and Saga do not cover fees for our podiatry services.
